About The Artist

Jennifer graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh as an Occupational Therapist in 1982. She has incorporated art therapeutically in the areas of mental health and palliative care throughout her career. Growing up, Jennifer was rarely without a sketchbook or paint. Jennifer came to Canada in 1984 when she married her husband, Stuart. Jennifer started to sell her work in 1992 in Paris, Ontario where she currently lives & has three children. Watercolour was her medium until 2009, when she was introduced to needle felting. It was love at first sight. She continues to experiment and have fun with wool. She describes her work as Woolscapes, landscapes created with wool. They have also been described as felted paintings as the end result does look like a painting. Jennifer has exhibited in Canada and in Scotland.
